Verdict : 6/10 (Nice food, curt service)

This is rather an old story, but I decided to record it anyway, as I found photos.
On 27 May 2006, I went to Imran's in Balti Triangle, with two friends of mine. We did not meant to go for lunch, but due to the heavy rain, we could not do what we planned to do, so rather than to go home empty-handed, we went for lunch in Balti Triangle. (This photo only is not taken on that day).
There are many restaurants in Balti Triangle, but I think about a half of them open only in the evening, so we had less choice for the lunch.

This is the interior. After we took this photo, the waiter in the rear came to tell us not to take anymore photos.
This place is a sweet centre as well as restaurant. The advantage is that we can enjoy Indian sweets after the meal, while in usual balti restaurants, all we can get as dessert is ice-cream.

We said to our waiter that we did not want any popadoms, but he brought this tray anyway. As we were waiting for our meal we started to try these chutneys and dips; they were either too sweet or too salty, and we would not have enjoyed even with papadoms.
The waiter was not happy with our order, because, I guess, one of us did not want naan or rice. But, you know, what could I do!?

We ordered two types of balti; it is too old a story to remember what we ordered exactly, but they were both lamb dishes. The balti appeared in karahi and there were a few leaves of coriander, which, did not look particularly fresh. They tasted, however, pretty nice. Two curries looked very similar, but on tasting them they were quite distinct.
The rice also was cooked very well and fragrant. Generous portion as well. I don't remember about naan; it was maybe because I did not eat it.

These are lamb chops. They were marinated in spice and baked, I suppose, in tandoori oven. I don't know how they tasted like, as I did not eat any, but the one who ordered this said they were too salty.
I remembered to have paid something between £7 and £8. It is average price, as we did not order many, and we did not buy any drinks. I don't think it is an brilliant restaurant, but it is surely acceptable and I would not mind going back.
