During the Christmas season there are various events in Birmingham. You may get information from Birmingham City Council web site, or Travel West Midlands web site.
There are several events also in Birmingham University, including Christmas Carol.

In 2007, Frankfurt Market starts from 15 November, and finishs 23 December (Sunday), open everyday from 10 in the morning to 9 in the evening, from the Victoria Square all through the upper New Street, and this year the row of stalls continues into the Chamberlain Square.
These are the photographs of Frankfurt Christmas Market in 2006 and in 2007. It is held in collaboration with Frankfurt City council, and as many as 80 stalls sell small gifts, food and drink. There are also attractions for children like carousel.
In the photo right is a stall selling mini-pancakes. There was a lot of people buying them.

This is the arguably the best attraction of the Market, grilled German sausage stall. They grill long sausages on this huge grill. There are two types of sausages, red and white, and when you order, they put the sausage in bread. You may put ketchap and mustard, if you like. One costs £2.50. It does worth the price.

This is ham roast stall (the brown balls behind the sellers are hams). One serving with bread costs £4, and one serving on plate £8, which is quite expensive.

These pretty Santa Clauses are chocolates. I don't know about the taste, but they look very pretty.

This is a large stall selling expensive chocolates. People buy them in small batches for presents, or just to enjoy them on the spot.

This is a Christmas decoration in the St. Martin's Square.
Behind it is one of the most famous modern architecture in Birmingham, Selfridge's Building, part of the Bullring shopping Centre.
